Our air mattresses do not need any kind of special foundation in order to work properly, only a firm and flat surface. In fact, if you were so inclined you could lay one of our mattresses directly onto the floor and sleep more comfortably than you ever could on even the most expensive box spring and mattress combination. This means that you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on a special air bed foundation as you would with some other air beds. But since we realize that most of you don't want to set your air mattress on the floor, we recommend the following options:
1) If you are replacing your standard coil spring mattress with one of our air beds of the same size, you can use your existing box spring. Most likely it is firm and flat enough to do the job. If you find that it is not, simply slip a piece of plywood between the box spring and air mattress. (If you want your foundation and mattress to match we can sell you a foundation cover at a very reasonable price.)
2) If you are buying a different size air mattress than what you have been using (i.e.: you have a queen-size coil spring mattress but you want to sleep on a king-size air mattress) you can buy a foundation locally at a store near you. This is the most economical way to go. You can probably get a foundation for less than a hundred dollars that will work fine with your new air bed. (If you want your foundation and mattress to match we can sell you a foundation cover at a very reasonable price.)
3) If you don't want to hassle with buying a foundation locally and you need one, we can sell you one at a very low price. However, because we can't ship foundations via UPS and have to use a private trucking company, shipping costs a little more and we may not be able to beat the price you can find at your local store. We can sure try, though! See below for foundation pricing:
